Ben Travers
"When I finished secondary school, further education wasn't on my mind, golf was...I wanted to follow my hobby and become a professional golfer. This started well and I proudly secured an assistant professionals position at Saunton Golf Club in Devon, UK. The beautiful countryside, sea air and clotted cream quickly wore thin and I knew I was destined to life in an office!
I've now spent the last 17 or so years in sales and love it. The first 7 years were in estate agency, where I ran a sales office in Caversham, Reading before deciding to take a slight career change into recruitment.
The world of recruitment has been amazing, I enjoy so many parts of my day to day job...from chatting with managers about how to best attract talent, to meeting up with candidates to map out their next career move.
After having a great time in Sydney, soaking up the Aussie lifestyle, I'm now the proud co-owner of a recruitment business based in Reading and London."
